The Rotary Club of Key West is deeply saddened and in a state of shock following the sudden passing of Dr. Hector A. Guzman yesterday afternoon at the age of 65. Our disbelief is matched only by the tremendous sense of loss felt across our entire community.

In the early days of our Rotary Dental Program, Dr. Guzman was the only dentist who courageously stepped forward. He selflessly welcomed children in need of urgent oral care, providing his services at a greatly reduced rate. He always made sure these young patients were seen as soon as possible, putting their well-being above all else.

His generosity, compassion, and unwavering commitment to helping young people created a lasting impact on countless families in our island community.

Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences go out to his loved ones during this incredibly difficult time. Dr. Guzman’s profound legacy of kindness and service will live on in the many smiles he helped restore.
