Estelle Stamps 34, East St. Louis Woman Dies In St. Clair County Crash
SMITHTON – A late-night crash in St. Clair County has claimed the life of an East St. Louis woman. Estelle Stamps, 34, was identified as the victim of a fatal two-vehicle collision on Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2025.
According to the Illinois State Police, the incident occurred at approximately 10:22 p.m. on Illinois 159, just north of Douglas Road. Authorities were dispatched to the scene, where Stamps was pronounced deceased. The St. Clair County Coroner’s Office confirmed her identity and announced she had died at the location.
The crash involved another individual who sustained injuries. This person was transported from the scene to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. The extent of their injuries and their current condition have not been disclosed by officials.
As of now, the Illinois State Police have not released any further details regarding the circumstances that led to the tragic accident.
