Man Shot and Killed Near Apartments on City’s South Side Identified As Bradly Eliud Torres

INDIANAPOLIS – A 31-year-old man is dead after an early Thursday morning shooting at a south side apartment complex, prompting a police investigation.

Officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were dispatched to the 4200 block of Burkhart Drive, near the intersection of East Hanna Avenue and South Meridian Street, just before 1 a.m. Upon arrival, they discovered an adult male victim who had sustained fatal gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of first responders, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Marion County Coroner’s Office has officially identified the victim as Bradly Eliud Toro Torres, 31.

The IMPD has launched a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding the homicide. Detectives are currently in the process of interviewing potential witnesses and reviewing any available surveillance footage from the area to piece together the events that led to the shooting.
